• Johnston Construction Company served as Prime Contractor for the mechanical repair of two existing FMC Link-Belt traveling water screens at the Susquehanna Water Treatment Plant in Columbia, Pennsylvania.
• Removed existing traveling screen covers to access the internal chain-driven screening mechanisms and prepare the equipment for mechanical repairs.
• Replaced the operating chains on both intake traveling water screens using replacement chain components supplied by the City of Lancaster.
• Furnished and installed 280 new ¾-inch Grade 5 bolts as part of the mechanical repair and reassembly of the traveling screen equipment.
• Provided chain falls and associated equipment-handling arrangements necessary to facilitate removal and reinstallation of the existing screening assemblies.
