MECHANICAL AND PIPING CONSTRUCTION FOR 4.1 MILLION GALLON HYDROPILLAR TANK.

Johnston Construction Company

  • Johnston Construction Company provided mechanical, piping, coordination, testing support, and project closeout services for North Wales Water Authority’s General Hancock Elevated Water Storage Tank project, a 4.1 million gallon Hydropillar elevated water storage tank in North Wales, Pennsylvania.
  • Johnston Construction Company coordinated the non-civil portions of the subcontract scope with CB&I Storage Tank Solutions LLC, North Wales Water Authority, Carroll Engineering Corporation, Concrete Services Division, LLC, and other project participants.
  • Johnston Construction Company’s work supported the installation of new ductile iron water supply piping, tie-ins to existing water mains, testing coordination, record documentation, and closeout requirements necessary to place the new elevated water storage facility into service.
  • Johnston Construction Company worked in a coordinated construction environment where tank foundation work, site work, tank erection, piping, painting, disinfection, electrical service, control equipment, instrumentation, and site restoration activities were sequenced to support the overall project schedule.
  • The mechanical and piping portions of the work required careful coordination with the tank contractor and the civil construction team because the new water piping, foundation work, tank components, access areas, and site restoration activities were closely related. Johnston Construction Company supported the project through field coordination, sequencing support, documentation, and communication with the project team to help maintain progress across multiple scopes of work.
