CONVEYANCE CUTOFF STRUCTURE, CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE, FORMWORK, WATERSTOP, EMBEDS AND PIPING INTEGRATION.
Concrete Services Division
- Performed the specialized concrete construction package for a new conveyance cutoff structure as part of stormwater improvements at the Aberdeen Army Reserve Center. CSD furnished the labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete its contracted concrete work under Pavex, Inc.
- Constructed the cast-in-place concrete conveyance cutoff structure, including concrete placement, concrete pumping and the forming required to create the permanent stormwater-control structure in accordance with the project requirements.
- Installed waterstop within the concrete construction, integrating the joint-sealing system with the formwork and concrete-placement sequence to support the water-control requirements of the completed structure.
- Coordinated and set embedded items furnished by others before concrete placement, requiring the concrete formwork and embedded components to be accurately positioned and secured before the structure was poured.
- Integrated owner/contractor-furnished mechanical components into the concrete structure during construction, coordinating placement of the specified pipe segment and operating-stem valve with the forming and concrete operations so the components became part of the completed conveyance structure.
